“Mats”
This is an overnight shelter for 20 adults who are under the influence of substances. The Mat program provides a warm, supervised environment for its guests who are extremely vulnerable on the streets and in the elements.
The Mat program is located at 5246 53rd Ave and operates from 8 pm to 8 am 365 days a year.
Peoples Place
This emergency shelter is for 23 adults who have no other means available to them. The guests at Peoples Place are in the process of connecting back to the community. They are ready for an element of stability in their lives and are building their resources to that end. The staff help with goal setting and resource referrals.
Peoples Place is located at 6002 54Ave and operates from 7pm to 7am and all day Sunday, 365 days a year.
Winter Inn
This shelter’s purpose is to ensure that we have capacity in the cold winter months and won’t have to turn anyone away. This program runs as a partnership with Safe Harbour Society and the downtown Faith community, with Safe Harbour providing the staffing and the churches providing the space. Please call 403-347-0181 for schedule and location. The shelter operates from 7:30pm to 7:30 am from November to May.
